A fabulous Egyptian inspired snake collar made by the renowned Smith & Pepper in the 1970s. The band is an ingenious, expandable design that articulates and slithers fluidly. It’s modelled entirely in 9ct gold and has a silky-smooth surface.
The serpent's head and tail unite at the bottom of the piece and have been engraved with detailed patterning and set with two pink ruby eyes.
It’s a classic design and is held securely by a concealed box clasp and safety catch with the maker’s initials and faded hallmarks displayed underneath which indicate it was made in Birmingham in 1970.
